Yesterday, the Customs Business Fairness Act of 2021 was introduced in the House of Representatives. You can read it here. This bill is introduced with bipartisan support and is intended to make permanent the provision that duties collected and remitted to CBP not be eligible to be clawed back in a bankruptcy proceeding.
